The President of the United States has NO AUTHORITY to pardon someone of STATE crimes. The President of the United States only has Federal powers, not STATE powers. ANY attempt to free a prisoner convicted of STATE crimes would be an attack on the very sovereignty of the State itself.

I assume that Trump either gets bad news from his doctors or has an episode of greater diminishment in front of people when he overcompensates and publicly(worldwide) posts these attempts to convince people he isn't old, weak and confused. He is actually terrified of his inner circle betraying him.
