The move is part of an effort to roll back the regulation of what are called "forever chemicals" because they don't break down easily in the environment.

This clip from the documentary Art of the Surge gives some insight into how Trump's tweets are made.

Trump can be seen dictating to his aide Natalie Harp. We also see the entire room brainstorming, with Matt Gaetz and Stephen Miller contributing ideas.

Rule of Law Alert: Trump’s authority for country-specific tariffs comes from the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which doesn’t mention tariffs—but does require a national emergency.

An ad showing that Reagan opposed tariffs surely is not a national emergency. (It may be a personal one)

An embarrassingly obvious point, but...

This. Is. Illegal.

If anything like the rule of law were in force, Trump couldn't arbitrarily increase a tariff because he is annoyed.

In important and increasing ways, the rule of law in the US no longer exists.

This is quite a hed/subhed.
1) Start with Vance. Use strong action verb. Accept the autocratic premise that the “Marines’ Might” are Vance’s to flex.
2) Mention the protest second and absurdly describe them as in the thousands
3) Treat Trump’s strong man use of the military as a partisan scuffle.
