Seems Lee was awake until 4am because a university society said something he didn’t like.

‘Ban anyone that opposes Reform UK’ is his and @ZiaYusufUK’s message.

There's something rotten in mainstream media.
Apart from a post by @vicderbyshire.bsky.social on how many times Farage’s name appears (in what very little of the Epstein files are public), I’ve seen nothing from the British mainstream media about this.

Just imagine if they focused their energy on this story instead of trying to oust Starmer.
The British mainstream media is busy trying to oust Starmer, again, and yet they seem not at all interested in a much bigger and more serious Epstein story involving Farage, Putin, and Brexit.

Fortunately, @bylinetimes.bsky.social is.

Remember Farage wants the NHS to go replaced by American style healthcare.

Today my wife had her third DSAEK corneal graft in 3 weeks due to previous bubbles not working. Cost for 3 operations, 6 theatre staff, follow up ward care and consultant appointments x 3 and all drugs for a month.

You would think with Reform UK-led Worcestershire about to hike council tax by 10% that their Councillors would have a bit of urgency about their work…

The last part is ominous (if you don’t hear back after a week, send another email).

I'm reposting this piece as yesterday's to-ing and fro-ing was a classic change curve explosion 💥💥 If you've not read it yet, enjoy.
One of the best things about Bearly Politics is the people around it.

This reader contribution from @metaphorqu.bsky.social is thoughtful, generous, and deeply relevant to where we are right now.

While I've been critical about the government, this did make me stop and think.

Reader Contribution: CHANGE... #Fuck it’s difficult...
Why real change hurts more than we expect - and why that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening

When you think about that's probably a big part of the problem. Free breakfast clubs and extra free childcare hours are something they probably don't need but it can be a life saver to many poorer families. Same with the minumum wage, Better Start Centres, Employment and Renters Rights acts.

Great stuff from Ed Miliband here.

Labour are doing great things to describe the electricity grid by 2030

A huge target which will transform the UK!
Here's Ed Miliband defending his Local Power Plan by doing two things:

1) showing us how far the Tories have fallen, highlighting their hypocrisy - they used to support clean energy

2) strongly calling them out for opposing local energy generation within communities - everyone take note on this!

It's a worry.

Because so many people repeat it, it must have come from somewhere.

Someone must be pushing the idea. But who? And for what aim?

If this had all been about that clown Johnson, tonights headlines would have been:

“Boris comes out fighting to huge rounds of applause and declares he’ll never give up on the country he loves”

Of course we all know Johnson only loved himself & actually caused deaths to the people of this country.

Starmer's government has brought energy bills down, re-nationalised the railways, raised the minimum wage, put VAT on private schools, ended the non-dom tax loopholes, is planning to ban 2nd jobs for MPs and much more.

I wonder why the oligarch-supported media would want to get rid of him?

And, shock horror - Farage’s numbers don't add up. It will take nearly twice as much as he claims.

Classic.
