Starmer clearly gets on well with Von de Leyen, Merz, and Macron. Their joking and body language looks genuine. He will have had tentative discussions about joining, but will have been told it's too uncertain with Reform poling high. The worst thing is to try too early and get rejected. Patience.

I remember a doctor telling me that a key symptom of measles is that the kid is just miserable. Even if you avoid some of the worst outcomes, why would anyone want to inflict that misery? Grifters exploiting parents natural concerns and desire to do the best thing make me furious.
