This is a good policy for pretty much every billionaire big idea.
- Colonize asteroids or other planets? Great, but the first job for resources is to fix climate on Earth
- Massive power consumption for AI Data centers? Great, but first major task is solving sustainability
- Self driving? 4 transit!
The initial colonist launch is cheap. Henceforth every resupply mission should face an adverse impact to home planet analysis. You shouldn’t be allowed to create massive energy deficit or emissions on earth for shit on mars.

Everyone is reading this kinda wrong.

This is the WH recognizing things are getting out of hand and they're trying really hard to damage control. It's probably the first honest to god time I've seen this administration do this.
Quoting “officials” is an excuse to lie for Trump and everyone at the NYT knows that.

This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

LEAVITT: The strike was conducted in self defense to protect Americans

Lift
The
Cap
After the chaos Trump and Musk unleashed, next year could be a make-or-break year for Social Security.

We need every member of Congress to stay laser-focused on protecting and expanding our Social Security system.

and regardless of how someone contracted the virus, our society has long treated them with abject cruelty (even today there's ridiculous amounts of disinfo about HIV/AIDS that a lot of people still believe)
Remembering Ryan White, the teen who fought against the stigma of AIDS
Today we celebrate one of the great heroes in the war against AIDS: a brave young man named Ryan White. He was only 18 when he died of the disease on April 8, 1990.

also importantly: harm reduction wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for marginalized & directly impacted groups finding ways to take care of each other the best they could while being left to die during the initial years of the AIDS crisis; public health nerds came in later which gave this validity

there's a lot that isn't widely taught about the history of HIV/AIDS (especially in the united states) & it's a damn shame

the people of the populations seen as "disposable" or less valuable have save millions of lives through their ingenuity & in principles of mutual aid

today is the first time since 1988 that the united states is not observing world AIDS day

in fact, per STAT, the state department has forbidden federal employees AND GRANTEES to not utilize any funding to promote or commemorate this day

It’s not a stretch to say that my former political party is now firmly pro-Russia/pro-Putin. Not a stretch at all. It’s traitorous, but it’s true. Look, the leader of my former political party works for Putin. He’s on Putin’s side. Always has been. And the party has followed him.
