This is a good policy for pretty much every billionaire big idea.
- Colonize asteroids or other planets? Great, but the first job for resources is to fix climate on Earth
- Massive power consumption for AI Data centers? Great, but first major task is solving sustainability
- Self driving? 4 transit!
The initial colonist launch is cheap. Henceforth every resupply mission should face an adverse impact to home planet analysis. You shouldn’t be allowed to create massive energy deficit or emissions on earth for shit on mars.

Sen. Sanders and Rep. Talib have the right idea; they just need to bump up the additional corporate tax by 10x.

And, this needs to be partnered with laws that say that a company can’t:
1) outsource its labor to another company; or
2) declare its employees “independent contractors”

a lot of this shit might make more sense if trump were going to live another decade or two in power, but he isn't going to. these people are all behaving as if trump at 79 years old is putin when he was 48 years old, and that there'll never be any negative consequences.
New WSJ reporting: "During a December visit to Washington, David Ellison offered assurances to Trump administration officials that if he bought Warner, he'd make sweeping changes to CNN, a common target of President Trump's ire, people familiar with the matter said..."

David Ellison has launched a hostile takeover bid for Warner Discovery, taking his case directly to shareholders after Netflix clinched a deal.

This is why the AG’s election is so important. Chip Roy would be worse.

(2) seems to be an even more dubious point than (1). first because agencies are shaped by congress as well as executive appointments, and second because the agency rule-making process is more transparent and democratic than top-down decrees from political appointees
The theory of the unitary executive is that (1) the constitution requires it and (2) you get democratic accountability through presidential control through the power to remove agency heads. (1) is dubious (2) seems ridiculous at the present moment.

I know it’s a point so obvious it shouldn’t need making, but: the Founders made Congress Article I, not the executive branch. Congress makes the laws, the executive branch … executes them faithfully, in service to Congress.

They could have started with the executive, but they didn’t.

The buck? Oh, it definitely doesn’t stop here.
POLITICO: Do you believe the second strike was necessary?

TRUMP: Uhhhh. Well it looked like they were trying to turn back over the boat. But I don't get involved in that. That's up to them.

The Senator’s on the right side of history here.

But, honestly, I wish he’d make a judgement and stand by it instead of adopting the weak-sauce framing that got us RFK Jr and Pete Hesgeth.
I saw an incredibly disturbing video of the U.S. attacking survivors of a capsized boat in the Caribbean.

All of Congress and the American people deserve to see the full, unedited video of the boat strikes and make their own judgments.

I’m going to be impressed if Rand Paul re-invents unions from first principles.

Trump has pardoned huge amounts of fraud and truly heinous crimes.

In particular, he's pardoned more corrupt elected officials than any other President, and it's not particularly close.

This President is a crook through and through.

“Produce results” is a low bar.

I mean, multiple bankruptcies is results, technically, I guess.
-Ukraine should hold elections. They’re using war not to hold elections, Ukrainian people should have that choice.

-Zelensky will have to start “accepting things.”

-European leaders talk too much but don’t produce results.

If Paramount acquires Warner instead of Netflix and the Ellisons fulfill their promise to Trump, we could see Trump blatantly using them to shape the entire media landscape—from CNN to TikTok—in his own image. trib.al/Qmi31pW

The Take Care Clause was a byproduct of the lessons learned from the Glorious Revolution that the executive should not be able to dispense with the law promulgated by the legislature. It was not a constitutional provision to empower the executive branch— but to constrain it!
