Sen. Sanders and Rep. Talib have the right idea; they just need to bump up the additional corporate tax by 10x.

And, this needs to be partnered with laws that say that a company can’t:
1) outsource its labor to another company; or
2) declare its employees “independent contractors”

Doris Miller fought fascism for a country that didn’t yet treat him as a full citizen. Many in the GOP want to claw back the freedom and equality that the US embraced after WWII.

This paragraph, in particular, is what I was talking about.

Also, this paragraph will infuriate the broligarchs.

You’re thinking of 45, who at least made pretend that he had ethics.

That was before John Roberts’ court said the president could do whatever he wanted to do.

This morning’s “Can you fry an egg in it?” tastes much better than it looks.

Browned leftover stuffing on the skillet, then cracked eggs onto the stuffing. One yolk survived, so there’s toasted bread, refried onions and mushrooms, and it holds onto heat really well. Little Old Bay and yummy.

Somehow, translating Lovecraft into Japanese manga and back into English prose scrubs out the racism.

So good, y’all.

America is ancient and has ghosts.

TIL that in pretty much every state in the country, regulated utilities get way more profit than other industries.

Good piece by @johnffarrell.bsky.social on how to reduce utility bills for Americans.

Today’s brunch: toad in an onion hole:

Had leftover onion rings, so I stacked two, cracked an egg into each stack, let it cook on the bottom. Flipped the stack, and let the other side cook, then slid the spatula between the rings so I could make sure it was cooked all the way thru.

I love the new-ish tradition of breweries brewing with fresh hops right after the harvest.

Like Beaujolais Nouveau, ‘cept bougie American.

Anyway, Lincoln saw this for what it was, and did his best to burn it down before he caught a bullet in the neck from a salty slaver apologist.
