But on the other hand, people like Shaheen were never able to take an independent stand and hold onto it. Not a great way to cement a positive legacy for those at the end of their political careers.

As a NH voter, I’m virulently unhappy with Shaheen (retiring) and Hassan for defecting. And I get that a lot of their constituents are being hurt by Trump’s shutdown. But caving is not winning in this case. It’s hard to believe THEY believe Thune. Republicans lie.

Trump‘s brilliant plan of 50 year mortgages means that after your first 20 years making huge interest payments to a bank you will have paid down almost none of the principal and they will still own the house you are living in with 30 years to go. A scam from a career con man.
