We are now further away from the theatrical release of Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12, 1981) than it was from the year it takes place in (1936). We have reached the Indiana Jones event horizon.

Please help if you can.
£338/1114 with six days to go and we don’t have Maha’s rent. I’ve not been at this stage where we have almost nothing and I don’t know what else to do. I’m not working at the moment so I can’t cover the £700 needed to keep this family housed this month. Is there anyone out there who can help?
£338/1114 It’s now 8 days with NO SUPPORT for Maha. She relies on us to pay her rent. Please help if you can, I can’t bear for my beautiful friend to lose her home in the cold winter.

Apart from a regular $10 donation Maha has received NO SUPPORT for 7 days. Her rent is due in 8 days. Can anyone here help? The family face eviction if they don’t pay their rent. I don’t need to tell you what this means in Gaza. Please help.

Could someone in the fourth estate ask, so we know for sure?
What have Labor actually done re: problem gambling? What? Name something Albo
I asked the Prime Minister to allow Labor MPs a free vote on banning gambling advertising. His response? The same old guff to sidestep the uncomfortable reality that he’s the one holding this reform back #auspol #politas

High-quality masking slows transmission because the virus has fewer hosts to jump to for viral replication. It’s basic science, but people forget how effective it still is.

Lots of people said it was stupid at the time. The exact scenario they pointed out came to pass. It was all a part of that govt not listening to experts, with the added twist of not being allowed to talk climate change, renewables and sensible energy. They sold us out and they were warned.
I thought it at the time and the vote buying spending set us up for a trillion dollar debt

One of my favourites
'The evening turned to rain, watched the water roll down the drain
As we followed him down to the station
And though he never would wave goodbye
You could see it written in his eyes
As the train rolled out of sight
Bye-bye'

That moment followed by his calling a reporter "insubordinate" while shrugging off the murder of a journalist would have ended other presidencies. "Piggy" enraged me less than the silence that followed--the indifference, the cowardice, the collective shrug is what enables the eradication of decency.
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.
