Das Schwierige ist ja: Wir leben in einer Zeit, in der gleichzeitig so viele schreckliche oder schockierende Dinge sichtbar* werden, dass man schnell überfordert ist

Die Union möchte das Informationsfreiheitsgesetz in seiner jetzigen Form abschaffen. Die einzige Möglichkeit, wie wir dann noch Zugang zu amtlichen Informationen gegenüber Bundesbehörden kriegen, ist, wenn ein AfD-Minister dann irgendwann einen SPIEGEL-Journalisten zum Signal-Chat hinzufügt.

Despite years of Brexit negotiations, my impression was that the overwhelming expectation was that the EU just 'has to' include the UK in anything defence related for its own interests.

The bigger shock for the US's position as a unique global power and its exceptionalist self-image would be an outcome where Ukrainians and other Europeans figure out that they can survive without American help
