Don't believe for a second that we're killing people on tiny boats to prevent drugs from reaching the US
Reporter: You have made so clear how you want to keep drugs out of the US—

Trump: Right

Reporter: Can you explain why you would pardon a notorious drug trafficker?

Trump: If somebody sells drugs in that country, that doesn’t mean you arrest the president

All over Appalachia people will be hit hard by cuts to Medicaid, veterans affairs, food aid, education & more.

Four dead and at least ten wounded in a mass shooting in Stockton, California.

It’s long past time to seriously address gun violence in America.

There’s nowhere else on earth with this volume of mass shootings and school shootings.

It’s time for gun control:

Is it possible that whole “free speech” and “ending censorship” thing was all just a setup by election deniers and useful idiots to work platform referees into serving their objectives? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Maybe there was no “censorship industrial complex” and these ppl never gave a shit ab free speech. 🙊

"The Stones of Stenness are part of one of Europe’s richest archeological landscapes—the legacy of a Neolithic society that flourished between 3800 and 2200 B.C., after the introduction of agriculture but before the advent of metal tools."
Megalithic monuments in the Orkney Islands “may not have been intended to last millennia, but, now that they have, they are stone doors through which the living try to touch the dead,” Alex Ross writes. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/TFPGiZ

I think about this every day.
The fascists won temporarily, but fascism is for losers. They'll fail. They are con men and swindlers. And when they do lose, we make a real democracy. The kind they hate. Their "creative destruction" will be democracy rising.

Got a long drive coming up?

Why not listen to our recent 2-hour episode about how to invent a vaccine, why it took 90 years after Jenner's discovery to make the 2nd vaccine, and how we owe the measles vaccine to a chance career change.

Plus: scientific rivalries, live demos, and secret notebooks.
Imagine you lived in the 18th century.

Smallpox kills 1 in 3 cases. Yet you can’t culture pathogens, don’t know germ theory, and have no idea what a virus is. How would you invent a vaccine?

In a new episode of HARD DRUGS, we trace the history of vaccines!

So far today I've had turkey and eggs, made turkey noodle soup from the carcass, curried turkey on fettuccine, and now a turkey stuffing sandwich with cranberry sauce on it. As described in A Christmas Story, "a turkey junkie, a bona fide garley turkicanus freak". Such a fantastic holiday!
