Cracking my middle aged egg in May 2025 in the UK. Impeccable timing you could say. Trans women, she/her, Scotland Block and move on if an interaction is joyless.

I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

1/🧵 I am viewing a never-before-seen file on “gender reassignment” or trans inclusion policy at the National Archives, Kew. The Supreme Court should start sweating. A bagful of receipts!
For sure, for sure. Hey, come to think of it, the current government inherited that trait too. 😠
The Tories, with all that time in power, got almost nothing done. They spent most of their time infighting and self-sabotaging (which even caused Brexit, there only "achievement"). The Labour party have done more bad in a year due to being competent at their job, unfortunately.

1993: Stephen Lawrence is murdered by racists.
1999: The MacPherson Inquiry recommends recording of non-crime hate incidents.
2005: After the Discrimination Law Review, non-crime hate incidents begin being recorded by UK police.
2025: Mainstream transphobia ends a harm reduction policy that worked.
Met Police says it will no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents
The move comes as an investigation into Father Ted creator Graham Linehan is dropped, after his arrest over a post on X.

Them: “no one had pronouns in my day”
A TV Character from their day:
No, no, no, what are you talking about? Surely it's time to duodecuple down on austerity, those damn disabled and poor people really do need to stop stealing from the government and start paying their way, more, again.

“Loving families who are struggling to keep their children alive are being hounded by social services… the NHS, and in some cases, also being hounded by the police.”

Devastating comments by @goodlawproject.org in the podcast on “Fighting Britain’s Bathroom Ban” 😢

New Podcast Episode: The Gender Clinic Files (Part 2)

In this Episode:

Two new things from our immortal archenemies, the EHRC.

A trans woman sent to a men’s prison, but sadly we’re talking about the UK this time.

Bashing Back in Brighton.

And an interview with @clairetranstalks.bskysocial

The idea that our friends, relatives, neighbours and colleagues should be summarily flung out of the country by some future Tory government because they don't fit some right wing extremist's definition of "cultural coherence" should set alarm bells ringing everywhere.
Sunday Times interview Tory "rising star" Katie Lam

She is clear she wants lots of legal migrants to be told to "go home" so as "to leave a mostly but not entirely culturally coherent group of people"

(The interviewer suggests she is scrapping ILR or stripping people of it)

Disney tried to take legal action over this sketch. Alexie and his producer nervously went to meet an austere senior legal lady at the BBC. She read the letter and then watched the sketch on tape. Her opinion:

'Fuck them, we're the BBC' and she sorted it all out.

Oh for balls that big in 2025.
Alexei Sayle's Stuff (19th October 1989). A lot more work goes into the production of each episode of Stuff than you might expect.
For this, or just crimes against literature in general?

It's incredible just how on the ball trans people were about those US think tanks influencing British politics, going to great length to detail all these links and connections, only for it to fall on deaf ears because of how aggressively trans people were frozen out and disenfranchised.
bittersweet seeing parts of the lethargic british press sluggishly get around to wondering if US far-right religious think tanks are working to influence british politics. they are, yes! it is not secret! do your jobs better!

The phrase "trans activist" is goofy because like 95% of the time it's used it refers to a trans person simply existing.

Media, pointing at a woman buying a coffee: behold, a trans activist.

Woman: buying coffee is not activism stop being so fucking weird

Media: trans activist criticizes media

🚨This is an emergency🚨

This Government is currently sitting on an EHRC Code of Practice that will lead to the segregation and exclusion of trans people in public life.

Well I was not expecting BILL NIGHY to be spitting facts today!

She will only be a rising star if the MSN keeps platforming her, just like Farage and Jenrick before her.

So there is that.

We need to get past the idea of these people being "radicalised" on X. The British ruling class has been racist for centuries. For a while that was suppressed by hard won anti-racist social norms. But after years of chipping away with e.g. talk of "legitimate concerns" those norms are now collapsing
A mainstream “journalist” calling for a British MP to be deported. Is it because I’m Muslim? Next time, just say it with your chest.

"Mr. President sir the idea is you're constantly flying around in a big jet filled with your own shit in it. Like human shit. Anyways you're wearing a little crown in your little shitmobile and you're dumping the shit out. I think people will like it."
and another thing: he’s not mad. please don’t put it in the newspaper that he got mad.
March to the sea mate, then keep fucking marching.
Why would I want to be one of the bland, grey, unhappy characters? Jeez, I sooo wish that "normal" people would take some time to actually look inside themselves, find their own identity rather than choosing to eradicate mine.
