This is what almost 3 decades of total Republican government in Florida has done. Republicans took over the state in '99, blew the budgets frivolously, repealed regulations dealing with this problem, and basically ignored people's health problems, including through the pandemia.

yes of all the horror stories of AI, I think the use of "synthetic publics" to do research on might be - in a very crowded field - the worst one?

It’s easy to be cynical about the media but entire GENERATIONS of mostly not-famous journalists at places like CBS and the WaPo spent their whole careers doing the work that created the credibility those places had which made them important enough for self-serving billionaires to decide to ruin them
