June 1998. Right after my high school graduation, those of us who opted in for "senior spree" boarded buses, not sure where we would end up. And it turned out to be Wild Waves, rented out until dawn for Shorewood's class of '98. That was a very fun night.
Wild Waves says it will close following the 2026 season.
