Come see this face in person this Saturday!
Just a couple of days until our taster day introducing you to the craft of writing non-fiction. It's hosted by our very own founding editor @andrewkenrick.bsky.social, in person in Norwich, this coming Saturday. We still have tickets available. Beginners welcome! www.eventbrite.com/e/hinterland...
Amazing! We went to see A Comedy of Errors there last year. It was amazing but I wish we’d been down in the pit.

"This is a Classicists List not a political one."

A field of study is doomed when it surrenders its claim to be relevant to the real world, to how we live our lives in relation to other human beings, & cultivate mutual understanding. Isn't that the very point of the humanities?
I hope you do - well worth it, packed with some fantastic artefacts from Knossos and beyond.
Delighted to stumble upon this in Heraklion Archaeological Museum just the other day.

One of the questions I’m asked most is about feedback and mentorship for nonfiction writers - well, I’m offering a new service via Hinterland. So, if you’re a nonfiction writer in need of a close read of your manuscript or in search of a mentor to help develop your writing, check it out.
Today we’re pleased to announce our new Manuscript Assessment and Mentoring services, two separate services offered by the Hinterland editorial team that will help you to meet your writing goals for 2025 and beyond! You can find out more here: hinterlandnonfiction.substack.com/p/introducin...

Gladiator I was a PhD thesis by comparison 😂
No! Even lazier - I cut the sprue up into strips and just paint them on that before attaching to the base.
And kept my stripes big instead
