Hey Dario, they aren't. Hope that helps.
I'm pretty sure I know. They aren't. We're not going to really be able to make a lot of progress in dealing with the implications of this tech unless and until we get rid of all this "woo-woo" talk about LLMs. Anthropic pushing this line is PR, unserious.

Went through this same experience. Lost a lot of respect for many alleged and self-professed leftists/progressives over the last decade and some years. Some folks have fitted themselves with very narrow blinders, and intentionally so. It's still happening on the topic of Iran now.

One of the saddest things I’ve heard from Syrian and Lebanese friends is how painful it felt when supporters of Palestinian liberation dismissed their own legitimate grievances under the so-called Axis of Resistance. As if Beirut and Damascus exist only as supply lines for that.

He clumsily read his speech from the page without hardly looking up and told everyone in the room to follow the US's lead or suck it. He accused Europe of managed decline by not being racist enough, and if it doesn't fall in line then America won't be there for it. Not sure how reassuring that is.

Anthropomorphic language around AI is the clearest sign that we, as a species, still haven't come to terms with what the technology is or means.
in which the public service journalist uses he/him pronouns for ChatGPT throughout the article, and even describes 'Barry' as a living entity ("He lives on an old model of ChatGPT").

We urgently need some kind of sector-wide 'AI' literacy training for journalists

I missed this comment before, and in case the ring/flock divorce suggests to you that ring is any less evil, consider the prospect of ring or ring users getting to decide who has “dementia” and then uploading them to their digital dragnet.

Never trust a maga. Not worth it.
A MAGA freak in Texas murdered his own daughter in cold blood after they had an argument about Trump.

A grand jury in the Dallas area then *declined to indict him*, and he has not yet faced charges.

Seems like many Texans believe a man has the right to kill his own child for disobedience.
