I'm always baffled by people who claim that trans people should "compromise" with transphobes.

Like, how am I supposed to compromise on my transition with people who don't want me to transition? Like, alright, I'll just grow one boob, then 🙄.

HasanAbi fans literally glazing Zohran Mamdani over a statement that doesn't sound too dissimilar imo from the kind of lip service you'd get from Ethan Klein.

Not only is BadEmpanada an abhorrent transphobe, but he is far from the only leftist who has criticised liberal zionism. Others have criticised HasanAbi for glazing Matt Duss, Graham Platner and Zohran Mamdani. We don't need to talk as though BE invented anti-imperialism.

I love that I couldn't tell if this was about transphobic "socialists" or "pro-trans" capitalists. It could be about either, since they both consume liberal propaganda about capitalism being responsible for trans rights.

"Transsexuality is bourgeois" reflects the common belief that medicine, technology, and any improvements to quality of life are owed to capitalism. The reality is that capitalism holds these improvements hostage for the sake of wealth.

The cruel, greedy, and powerful people are the ones writing those rules. Our basic instincts are to cooperate and help each other. How many times have you seen someone in desperate need only to force yourself from helping because you "can't" for any number of reasons?

Something I've just realised is the irony of using the phrase "personal policy demands" pejoratively to describe supporting Palestine, while more-or-less making a post telling people to only protest about domestic policy i.e. the stuff that affects them personally.

There are many self-described leftists who consider themselves to be "anti-wokescold", which basically just means that they are bigots who use the word "wokescold" to insult anyone who criticises them. I put "wokescold" in my bio to show my alignment.

No, my self-esteem is not tied to being more clever or enlightened than you. That was a weird thing to ask, honestly. Sure, I disagree with you politically, but *you* disagree with *me* as well, and I don't think that means you're self-esteem is tied to being smarter than me.
