This new map based on @theNYHC data makes it clear: it’s too easy to block affordable housing in wide swaths of the city.

If you agree every neighborhood needs to do its part in solving our citywide housing crisis, vote YES on Props 2-5.

A great day to ask about what your organisation is doing to integrate different approaches to supporting employee mental health -- and to push forward on whatever is the next top priority!

Even psychologists get amazed when non-human animals can do things that are essential to survival (and thus NOT surprising!), like categorizing stimuli.

Our error? Humans truly overestimate our uniqueness in animal kingdom.

Very handy tool by @packlesshepherd.bsky.social. Looks like the econ job market is:

⬇️ 42% YOY (260 vs. 369) overall

⬇️ 36.5% YOY (106 vs. 167) for U.S. FT academic jobs

These drops seem similar to what the poli sci market has been showing (right @reuning.bsky.social @annewhitesell.bsky.social?)
The 2025 academic econ job market is trending better than the first COVID market year but worse than the rest of 2019-present

39% have less than £1,000; struggle to survive without income.

Consequence of policies of successive govts, real cut in university income, hard to recruit foreign students.

Science subjects cut as they require heavy investment. Skills shortages will deepen.

I admit to being somewhat flummoxed by this finding (ie that good learners = poor monitors of their own learning)

I routinely tell students to engage in metacognitive processing relevant to their learning!

#AcademicSky, what do you make of this?

Indictment of England's children in residential care, mostly corporate controlled.

Annual spend £3.1bn, paid by local councils, spend per child £318,400, 22% profit, leaves less for frontline service.

Poor value for money. Children not properly cared.

But govts insist on privatisation.
