Another busy fall day at the Red Wing Amtrak Station with passengers headed south toward Winona and beyond at about noon. The northbound train from Chicago arrives daily in Red Wing about 6 pm.

Like Minnesota, the state of Missouri has a state-supported passenger train - the Missouri River Runner - connecting Kansas City and St. Louis, stopping at eight cities in between.

Join us in advocating for more state supported trains including St. Paul to Fargo and the Twin Cities to Kansas City.

All I want is a train from St. Paul to Kansas City.

Would you like to take a train from St Paul to Albert Lea? What about from Faribault to Des Moines? The re-establishment of train service between the Twin Cities ⇆ Des Moines ⇆ Kansas City is possible.

I would very much like to be able to take a train to visit family in Iowa vs. that boring drive down I-35 and back.

With a Projected ridership of over 190,000 per year, this corridor has the greatest potential ridership of any Midwestern passenger rail route.

The train is the way to travel. Cheaper than airlines, or a greyhound bus, stations are in well lit places mostly, and there ride is comfortable.

Also y'all, the Amtrak St Paul Union Depot is NICE. Beautiful atrium, literally footsteps away from the Green Line train to Minneapolis, a combo bike shop and cafe, and a little museum!
A wide angle shot showing the St Paul/Minneapolis green line train station with a train on the right and Depot on the left A wide angle shot of a bike shop with a small coffee counter in the train station A shot of the Union Depot main boarding area, with lots of natural light, shining floors, and a curved ceiling A close-up of a rusty pickaxe with a label that says it was found during the 2012 renovation of the station

Have you ridden the @amtrak.com Aurora Borealis line? Our advocacy helped make that route possible, and you can help us continue to expand interstate passenger rail.
