Sometimes I’m so tired I want to cry. Not adult-cry. Toddler-cry. With the vocalized whining and the gasping sobs. Sometimes I want to cry like I’m calling for someone else to fix it.
I'm having a rough go of it lately, and have been thinking: everyone is going through something, and you have no idea what it is, or how it's affecting them.

Since it’s still Disability Month, or whatever we call it… Hi! I have slept for three hours, and now my brain won’t stop talking to me and my body feels like a week-old surgery scar. Good thing I’m also worried about how to support myself and my husband, eh?

Willie Brown Middle School is a San Francisco 6-8 in the Bayview District. For the entire ‘24-‘25 school year, I have been driving the 44 O’Shaughnessy bus that stops there right after school gets out. That trip has been the busiest and most challenging part of my working day.

I left Goodreads last January, but sometimes I'm tempted to look at reviews.
&it makes me realize how restrictive Goodreads is! GR trained maybe millions of readers to reduce all of world literature to 5-star ratings and the often uninteresting and irrelevant question of "how fun was this to read."
