Sigh. May as well jump on the bandwagon, but with my own spin. For every 'Like', I will post up a song and a reason why I think it slaps, as the young 'uns say.

Reminder that shortly after ordering these strikes, Hegseth removed the press corps from the Pentagon and the SouthCom Commander overseeing operations in the Caribbean unexpectedly announced he is stepping down 2 yrs before his term is up. What we are seeing is just the tip of the iceberg.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

rich dudes got freakier after butlers fell out of fashion, like say what you will about having domestic servants but clearly it was some sort of moderating force on old rich dudes having a fancy man follow you around saying shit like "oh dear sir, that wouldn't be very becoming"

This reminds me of a meeting I had to fly to Edinburgh to attend, where the fatuous windbags in charge spent several hours debating what our 'elevator pitch' would be.

I put the time to good use by arguing with 14 year olds on Reddit. Happy days!

When you consider how cosy she is with people from Galloway's sect as well, I'm afraid that it's impossible not to conclude that at best, Sultana has shockingly bad political instincts and has allowed herself to be taken advantage of by some of the worst and most destructive elements of the UK Left
If you'd told me a few months ago that Zarah Sultana would be in the "the SWP are Fine, Actually" wing of a new Left party I wouldn't quite have believed you. Absolutely mortifying behaviour.
Sultana says she would reverse the expulsions of SWP and other communists kicked out for "dual membership" in recent weeks

there's much to criticise about zarah sultana (mostly who she associates with), but saying she's 'like a child' is creepy & weird. like yes i remember when my 5 year old nephew signed responsibility of several hundred thousand pounds to themselves to resolve legal issues, whilst being an MP

The only explanation for Zarah Sultana is that she has studied the history of socialist parties, written down every mistake they have ever made, and turned that into a to-do list

It's only a matter of time before humanities departments will be forced to accept AI-authored assignments, as part of revised university policy to cooperate with these billionaires. It's already happening, and our response needs to be decisive. Because our students' ability to *think* is at stake.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

This is a highly unusual order from a Secretary of Defense, and it’s almost certainly a war crime.

In the strike in question, two people survived and were clinging to the side of the ruined boat, and a second mission was spun up to execute them.
