All of us: Why, in our judgement, Chris Mason is misleading on most political points, all the time.

Because he’s incapable of political commentary that isn’t marinated in his own rightwing bias. Allegations for Labour. Free passes for Tories/Reform. Every Single Time.

Chris Mason: Why, in my judgement, Reeves was misleading on one specific point
The Chancellor chose not to share some information on tax receipts in an unusual press conference, given before the Budget.

Far-right agitators stand accused of stirring up trouble at asylum hotel protests. But anti-racists are standing firm
Following a sharp rise in far right activity, we’ve spent the last three months attending protests, speaking to activists under threat, and tracking anti-asylum seeker demonstrations across Scotland.

This is the largest known retrogressive thaw slump in the world (Yakutia)! 🧊🔥

It exposes a remarkable sequence of Ice Age permafrost that record interaction of colluvial/eolian/periglacial processes on a hillslope episodically forested during last 650 ka! 😲

Similar grumble about the Guardian & Times is that the on-line version shows the same articles all week. I used to read a paper and buy a new one the next day. Now I have to scroll through acres of stuff I read days ago. Either give me a "delete when read" function or print days in different colours

There’s lots of interesting detail in this article. But the gist is that Chinese short & medium haul BEV trucks beat western ones on cost even after regulatory upgrades. Long haul versions are cost competitive. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 🧵 cleantechnica.com/2025/11/26/c...
China’s BEV Trucks and the End of Diesel’s Dominance - CleanTechnica
China’s electric heavy truck boom signals a freight transition as low cost BEVs outpace diesel and gas across short haul markets. Exports are rising.

I think I came close here in the UK - my dentist is struggling with the costs of maintaining his 25m yacht & may have to rein in his monthly foreign holidays.

As a stop gap he's been obliged to put his prices up. My last visit cost more than I paid for my mac mini.

An excellent thread explaining Labour's plan for growing the economy.
Whether or not you agree with it isn't the point. If the government were explaining what they were doing like this, week in, week out they might just start to drive the news agenda rather than be swept along by it.
Rightly lots of debates about growth this weekend - rightly because it was low productivity growth that saw wages entirely flatline during the 2010s.

Excellent although I think the council should charge for storage of the flags as well.
Disgraceful! A patriotic flag shagger who dedicated his time to illegally putting up 64 flags is being charged £2,300 for the cost of taking them down. If it wasn't so funny I'd be furious.

The “kill them all” order by SecDef Hegseth would be a textbook war crime even if the original attack had been legal.
It is unfathomable that the USG lawyers would sign off on a no-survivors boat strike (no get of jail free card).

There's clear precedent dating back to World War II trial of Germans for that very act, which lawyers know well.
