Ghosts linger amid the fields of England, waiting to be summoned by passing feet. As a walker faces the spectres of his own grief, he's drawn into a struggle between the paths connecting us & the boundaries that cut us apart, in Walking a Wounded Land.

Today's writing involves competely rearranging the contents of a book, because I'd misunderstood the process I was writing about. This is in no way annoying, & I'm definitely not give past me the evil eye.

This. You can work non-stop and have all the talent and still not see a dime from that effort. It's not a complaint - just a feature of what it means to create art. For most people art is the journey not the eyes that experience it afterwards. This is ok but should also set your expectations.
Some close friends to be get a little frustrated in my tendency to priortise luck in my own career, as they know how I work. I try to explain that work just is buying a lottery ticket. It's necessary, but certainly not sufficient. I know many folks who've worked as hard but the dice have been cruel.

The book that arrived in the post today, & one of my favourite bits of dialogue to write. I have worked with acronym people, often the same ones who use too many sports metaphors.

Also, I just finished the first draft of The Executioner's Prayer. That one's going to sit neglected for a while now, at least until I know what the future of that series is, but it was satisfying to get to the end. One way or another, it'll find it's way into the world one day.

Lots of cool stories in this book, worth it at full price, never mind this bargain...
UK people, Amazon are currently offering the paperback of Fight Like A Girl #2 for just £4.64. That's less than the book costs to print, and less than the ebook price. It looks like someone is doing a warehouse clearance. There are only 14 copies left, so get yours now.
