Just discovered Anne Twomey has a YouTube channel explaining constitutional issues.

Funnily she mentions that YTs analytics say she zero <18yo subscribers, but the comments say otherwise.

Hot tip kids, sign up as an adult and then watch law vids and you won't get booted!

I feel like I need an AU version of the Moderated Content podcast from @evelyndouek.bsky.social to understand the background to this case.

I seem to know more about Netchoice v Paxton and Reno v someone than our local laws in Oz.

Maybe Evelyn can get together with Anne Twomey for a pod?

Wtf? Vic police have declared the entire CBD a designated area for a period of 6 months.

Definitely an overreach...

Good piece on why the CIS from @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social should be considered a failure so far, given little wind is getting built and we're not going to hit anywhere near 82% renewable by 2030.

Interested to hear Chris' response when he's next on the podcast..
"The RET created demand. It turns out this really matters. The CIS leaves all the onus on suppliers to take the risk of building. Gentailers can, and they do, sit on their hands."

So apparently Lake St Clair in Tassie has been measured by @csiropublishing.bsky.social as 163m deep which is about twice as deep as the bass strait. Pretty amazing for an inland lake..

IMO if they do this in Vic, hopefully they limit it to October - April.

In Winter Vic gets much less solar + big electric heat loads so energy efficiency & getting more wind onto the grid are what we need at the moment. Maybe they could also ramp up Feed In Tariffs for winter?
🔌💡
Today we announced Solar Sharer.

A plan to share the excess solar energy our nation generates to provide every Australia with free power for at least 3 hours during the day.

Meanwhile, the Coalition continued fighting each other over if climate change is real.

Priorities.
