Caroline Lucas is wondering why Michelle Mone is still a member of the House of Lords

And most of us are wondering the same as well!

But if Mone is going to be removed from the Lords, there are others too who fail to meet the standard and should be removed as well

What’s the harm of trying? youtu.be/aCpbDQ-hIpw?...

In this off-the-cuff, spur-of-the-moment video, I ask a simple question: What’s the harm of trying something different? Why not invest? Why not tax wealth? Why not admit that government spending creates money?
What’s the harm of trying? When everything’s failing, why not change course?

“The Defense Department has confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America,” the Pentagon Press Association said

Oct. 15, 2025
PENTAGON PRESS ASSOCIATION
STATEMENT
Today, the Defense Department confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America. It did this because reporters would not sign onto a new media policy over its implicit threat of criminalizing national security reporting and exposing those who sign it to potential prosecution.
The Pentagon Press Association's members are still committed to reporting on the U.S. military. But make no mistake, today, Oct. 15, 2025 is a dark day for press freedom that raises concerns about a weakening U.S. commitment to transparency in governance, to public accountability at the Pentagon and to free speech for all.

Selective philanthropist Bill Ackman is against Mamdani becoming the mayor of NY.
Gee, I wonder why?
I am watching this race with great interest while rooting for Mamdani.

Is “Great Britain” really unable to feed its’ poor, or house its’ homeless or treat the sick

Yes your taxes should support disabled people.

They should support homeless people.

They should support those living in poverty, children and the elderly.

This is literally the purpose of taxes, and I would far rather support those who need it than continue to enrich the elite.

The real seismic shift
Britain isn’t being changed by immigration.
It’s being transformed into an authoritarian corporate client state

‘Alarming rise’ in mental health stigma in England, research shows

The tendency to “other” those who don’t fit society’s norms is increasing 🙁

Lack of good care and resources to blame, along with ignorance.

Being 'told' how and what to think by British Colonial Media. It's insidious. Unless you're bright enough to see their agenda and what they're doing. Think for yourself peeps.

Interesting article
But is it *really* the case that people deliberately avoid earning £100k cos *marginal* tax rate on any income above that figure is higher?

It does not affect earnings below £100k and even it it was taxed at 60% - still make more £

Just a point to add to this.

In a Times article mentioning the same issue, it notes about dependents of migrants that:

“At present they do not have to speak any English at all.”

Which isn’t the case - at all.
The tougher language requirement will not apply to family members who come with migrant workers, known as dependants.
Separate changes will require them to learn a standard of English equivalent to GCSE.
At present they do not have to speak any English at all. The government has not said when the changes for dependants will be introduced.

So Melanie, you mean like the app the WM Establishment developed for England's failed Test and Trace process, which cost the UK economy C £30b. Ps Do the people of England realise that their health data may be passed to US Health Insurers

Is brainwashing irreversible?
Absolutely appalled at the number of Scots, of my era, who buy the Daily Mail. A retiring editor said that their success resulted from giving people something or someone to hate and boy is that obvious when you talk to their readership.
aggykins.bsky.social
I worked in a large public building in where the staff only read the Mail for the fashion and gossip”
Or read The S*n and The Record for “the football”.

They “weren’t political”

Most of them “couldn’t stand Nicola Sturgeon” and a fair few grumbled about “scroungers and immigrants”

Funny that…🤔

I'm sorry, but if he didn't have the courage to speak what he knew to be the truth about Brexit to the people who elected him, then he's been putting his career above the country all along. How are we supposed to trust him on the NHS or any other issue now? He lost all credibility.
