Still haven't fully caught up on his speech but I loved his suggestion of Starmer being the equivalent of Lettuce Liz !
Keir Starmer’s policies on Scottish industry risk repeating the economic devastation caused by Thatcher in the 1980s.

This morning, I’ll set out how independence is fresh start we need - putting Scotland’s wealth in Scotland’s hands.

Tune in live on the SNP channels at 10am.

You have four 'Establishment' parties who wish to rip up the EHCR in order to pursue their racist agenda- Tories, Labour, Reform, DUP. That is the politics of the right.

And you have four who do not - SNP, Green, LibDem. Plaid Cymru. That is the politics of the left.

Where are you in this debate?

I suspect even so Scotland is doing far better than Engand.

= bye bye Ukraine as far as the US is concerned - and unless European and neighbouring countries fill the gap.
McCarthy spinning so fast in his grave that it creates enough electricity to power the entire US seaboard.
How very not surprising 👇

So that's where Martin Gueissler's ended up post Sunday mornings. He was showing dangerously pro- indy leanings there so's been told to toe the line by his bosses "or else".
Typical BBC Scotland! Interviewer Martin Geissler focusses on referendum process and currency and saying that Scotland does not have the right to a referendum as he tried to divert @gillianamartin.bsky.social from explaining why Scotland would be better of as an independent country. He failed.

Only caught the end of it so will have to catch the full speech somewhere later. From what I did hear I can't imagine WM will like what he said - although I hope he follows up on it with action of some sort.
📺 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Today at 10AM - tune in as the First Minister John Swinney MSP joins us for a landmark event on Scotland’s independence. Watch it live on all SNP social channels and be part of the moment shaping our nation’s future.

I can imagine EM stepping in to override any local planning objections because they are so desperate for power generation to feed England's needs anywhere but preferably anywhere other than in England.
A company owned by an Australian investment firm dubbed the 'vampire kangaroo' has plans for a lithium battery facility in rural Kintyre

But the plans have prompted fears the 'unique environment' of Scotland’s west coast risks 'being industrialised by developers' and of fire risk at the site

The Tories are getting very wound up about a defection to Reform of someone who the public does not know or care about.

The Tory consternation shows that they know that they are spent as a political force in Scotland.

The Findlay leadership experiment has been a disaster.

🎯🎯🎯. Paying for England's nuclear needs is just sticking up a finger to Scotland rubbing salt in wounds.
Labour are increasing your energy bills, after promising to cut them - to pay for a nuclear plant in England.

That settles the vote for me - with Reform's presence it's probably the best way to keep them out.
I fully intended to vote SNP1/Scottish Greens2 anyway for a strong Indy presence, but with the amount of free and bbc-sponsored publicity Reform is going to get by GE26 it has *double* value. It's the best way to keep repellent Reform out.

That's shameful of Eurovision. Ironic that Israel isn't in even Europe but can still compete in Eurovision. I haven't watched for a few years but certainly wouldn't now.
Eurovision members have just voted AGAINST excluding Israel from the contest.

Russia was excluded the moment they attacked Ukraine in 2022, but apparently genocide is fine if its Israel inflicting it on Palestinians.

Will the BBC tell us how they voted?
