I told Apple Music to make a playlist based on clipping. and it’s full of Backxwash, Xiu Xiu, OPN, and Death Grips and is straight fucking fire

HEY BURNABY, NEW WEST AND TRICITIES!!!!!

My former colleagues have launched a non-profit, co-op community news outlet!

These four are real pros and have been wonderful mentors to me. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

A gorgeous autumn day in #Vancouver 😍🍁
Wide angle of the Coal Harbour neighbourhood from a dock in the water. The condo towers and autumn trees (with yellows and greens) are reflecting on the glassy surface of high tide. It’s a bright and sunny day.
If you’re offering anything close to revealing you need to be charging a lot more than $5 imo
I’d have to assume they’re just bots looking for nudes
I was this 🤏🏻 close to buying a Switch 2 today so I could play Hades 2, but then I remembered Ghost of Yōtai comes out next week and I can just play that
Worth me seeing for the first time now?
Adding yarn to my Ravelry stash is like the most relaxing thing ever ☺️. #crochet
Just finished watching this and had to share. It’s a feature-length indie documentary about a couple of guys spending a year birdwatching. Funny, interesting, and surprisingly heartfelt. Highly recommended!

One idea I had for another category is to bookmark music publications. Figured I'd start with one of the best, The Quietus: www.patreon.com/posts/quietu...
whoa I had completely forget about Bleep! I managed to recover my old account and found albums I bought there back in 2015 😅

These ambient jazz albums embrace space and texture over complexity, creating a sound that is, in the words of ambient pioneer Brian Eno, "as ignorable as it is interesting”. https://disc.gs/3JlKmhS

"I like older TV"

"oh, so you like [laundry list of problematic things] then"

no, I like episodic storytelling that doesn't have a huge emotional buy-in, a million cuts per scene, and dialogue delivered like a 2x speed tiktok video

bonus points for stage-trained actors and shoestring budgets

they should make it so the only way your allowed to access the internet is by using a Nintendo DS
I’ve been a huge fan of the Lumines games since I first played the original on the Sony PSP in college in 2005 😄 Very happy to see another edition

👀 interesting! I’ve been using iterm2 for so long it didn’t occur to me to question its feature creep
Feeling inspired by some creative friends to explore posting some of my music production, album and track reviews, and gear education online 😊

"Lots of jobs have unpaid labour, flight attendants aren't--"

I need you to understand that every bit of our economy is made up and we can make a better one.

No part of it is natural. It is a fiction we are telling ourselves everyday.

Let's tell a better story.
I got to ride one for the first time last week! I like the new LCD panels above the doors.
Mines, and Menomena's 2012 album "Moms", are such absolute cornerstones of early 2010's rock for me. The creativity and lyricism in both (especially factoring in Brent Knopf's departure between the two) is staggering.
I'm such a huge fan of creative remixes, it probably warrants a whole thread at some point. For now, I'll highlight this gem from the B-side of the 2024 expanded edition of Menomena's 2010 album "Mines".

First impressions of the new album by Ethel Cain, "Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You" are extremely positive.
"Tempest" is so powerful.
