Also I'm not the Welsh comic artist, but I hope they join soon too.
The meritocratic myth in America fuses together people with skills and people with money into one class. That's what our elite universities do. If the rich can pull off this illusion, they can convince everyone that the only way you get rich is by being brilliant. But the truth is there to see.

"skin as part of brain?"

This is that great intellect people talk about?

NEW: The End of the Line: the centrepiece of Saudi Arabia’s Neom gigaproject - a 500m tall, 170km long wall-like building intended ultimately to house 9 million people - can’t get out of the ground, say more than 20 former Neom architects, engineers and senior executives.

I like that when he says what it would not be like--going into Russia or China or North Korea or Iran--he pointedly does not mention any of the countries we actually went into and got stuck in.

this is an obvious overcorrection that misleads the polling data and will lead to disaster in the Heartland. the results of tonight show that the Democrats should moderate: adopting two or at most three of the five pillars of Islam
if democrats are serious about winning they need to learn from tonight and convert to islam

Be careful, kids. Because when you get your shiny new degree and your shiny new job, no one has to tell you that you are wading through the blood of al-fasher to deliver some stale talking points about the Muslim brotherhood. It's easy to lose all your credibility before your career even starts

I've also noticed this with preparedness. When I was in college, students knew basically everything, could teach the class if they wanted to. Now students have no idea, and if anything are confidently wrong.
something weird I've noticed over the past couple of years: college students used to be adults, but are now children. it's strange. I'm even seeing grad students, who used to be adults, now be children. whereas people who used to be old, like postdocs, are now normal? maybe TikTok is to blame.

Obvious to say this, but the actual function of the smear job isn't to make us ask about his aunt, it's to show us the words "hijab" and "9/11" in a headline with his photo.

The year 3000:

Our war and climate ravaged world has finally pulled itself together. Human civilization clustered at the poles has slowly rebuilt, and we are looking toward the stars once again. We send people into orbit, searching for truth among the satellite wreckage.
As absurd as his claims are (he desperately wants to be cool SciFi but just doesn’t get it), and ridiculously pathetic the idea of his of Nazi pet robot’s encyclopaedia coming into existence is — pay attention to his ongoing talk of colonisation — spreading HIS pet’s knowledge across space and time.

A piece of contract work I did got the feedback that I should talk more about how the sunni-shi'a divide affected things. The project was on the state of politics in Algeria. Lots of people need to learn a second thing about Islam.
I’m Muslim and didn’t even know there was such a divide until reading a TIME magazine article in my dentist’s office in the mid-2000s that had a map of Iraq with the populations divided. Asked my parents about it!

In my experience, this has always been a particular object of western fascination.
Mamdani is a Twelver Shia, and most of the mosques in New York City are Sunni. Despite this, Mamdani overwhelmingly won the Sunni and Shia votes in the primary, and has been warmly received at every Sunni mosque where he has spoken. Cuomo is trying to introduce division where it does not exist.
