I read a smart thing about marking up vile things before reposting them, so the brain is signaled before reading and we aren’t normalizing them by giving them more oxygen. So, something like this, from me with no particular online skills? Tips for better marking?

Professor Trash Wheel is one of three trash interceptors in Baltimore that work to clean up the Inner Harbor, Patapsco River and Chesapeake Bay. The other two wheels are the male @MrTrashWheel at the mouth of the Jones Falls and the gender neutral @CaptTrashWheel in Brooklyn.

In Baltimore, we have an old expressway covering up a waterway--the Jones Falls. Some (myself included) believe it is long past time to uncover the waterway and knock down the expressway for a friendlier urban street/boulevard

Baltimore: we should clean up the Jones Falls and make the Jones Falls Trail a quality multi use path!

City Hall: hey, I got an idea we should move the dump there!

Rough reception for City Hall plan: Relocate DPW's Sisson St. trash dropoff ctr to the Potts & Callahan yard on Falls Rd.
Biking or walking on the Jones Falls Trail? You'd be alongside vehicles hauling garbage. And, attention drivers: Falls Rd wd be closed to cars at Mill #1 tinyurl.com/36rws9mn
Rough reception as city proposes moving Sisson Street trash drop-off center to a site along the Jones Falls | Baltimore Brew
Falls Road would be permanently closed to vehicle traffic near Mill No. 1. Vehicles dropping off and hauling garbage would access the site via lower Falls Road, side by side with bikers and walkers.

Hey, Baltimore Bluesky, let’s elevate this issue. Are we going to allow a truly foul plan to decimate this stream all over again, after working so hard to reclaim it? We know too much to allow another Highway to Nowhere decision…don’t we? #DontTrashTheFalls

Baltimore, we can do much better than a dump along the Jones Falls. In this new op-ed for the Baltimore Sun, we sketch a vision for the river at the heart of our city. Join us via our new Jones Falls 2076 project.

Don’t trash the Jones Falls (again) | GUEST COMMENTARY
The Jones Falls valley is one of Baltimore’s greatest untapped assets, but a new city proposal puts that potential in jeopardy, local organizers write.

Literally nothing coming from the Pentagon, DHS, or DOJ should be considered credible unless backed up by an independent source outside of government. (This, for the record, is a huge problem!)

⚠️ Warning: these back-to-back scenes are hard to watch unless you’ve got a depraved heart.

These are thugs, not officers with any real training. We keep seeing it again and again, and at this point, it’s clearly the op.

This should be considered everywhere. They are kidnapping, abusing, harassing and threatening people who have rights. Every single one of them have rights and they are ignored. What they’re doing is unconstitutional and illegal.
Payback will come.

This administration keeps torching the Hatch Act—propaganda videos in airports, partisan emails on federal servers, even mass firings. It’s corruption with a flag pin. See something? Say something. Expose it through the whistleblower tip line.

Farmers grow what they grow because of farm policy.

We don’t need all the soy and corn that we grow, but those are the commodities that receive subsidies and markets.

If we want something better, if we want to heal the Earth and grow food, now is the time to do it.
