Ironically, for all the talk of how bad the city looks, I have not had this much fun exploring in a Pokémon game in years.

The way you need to find ways onto the rooftops to get items, and that rare Pokémon lie in wait around every corner, is more compelling to me than the open world!

and that's how it seems for most "AI" stuff nowadays, companies are scrambling so hard to justify their investments that they shove it everywhere (like microsoft putting LLMs (can't do math) into excel (entirely math)) just to boost reported usage numbers (i suspect) even if we don't want to see it.

it does not necessarily mean this though, because the dominant way people end up on Wikipedia is through Google, and Google has loaded the top of all of its search results with AI-mediated info taken from Wikipedia. This does not mean consumers prefer it this way, the choice has been made for them

AI is separating the production and consumption of information. If direct access to Wikipedia is dropping that suggests information consumers find AI mediated consumption more useful. This will impact the production of information; including the economic model
