Zelda Williams, on how she feels about people generating AI videos of her dad Robin. I echo these same sentiments on AI. It's repulsive, overpriced fast food that isn't art, or entertainment. I recommend everyone take time to read this and evaluate how you see AI. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Robin Williams' daughter pleads for people to stop sending AI videos of her dad
The filmmaker said it is not what her dad, who died in 2014, would have wanted.

After working hard in school for a whole year I came to a very funny realization. Out of all the ponies from MLP I'm literally like Twilight Sparkle so, of course, I had to make a kin-sona as a goof
She’s not an official sona - more like a gag. Plus I need to give her a name…
Gonna start posting here more

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

"Bluesky is boring."

Social media *should* be boring. Being algorithm and dopamine poisoned is bad, actually.

When your feed dries up for the day, that's your cue to go do something else until new stuff shows up later.

The trick I've found to be the most useful when designing a story's cast is not just to work them up in silhouette (ensuring that they read differently at a foundational level), but to start with literal shapes. You can more easily spot the means to differentiate similar components (like armor).

When people say "We used to drink raw milk from our own cow and it was fine,"

That's... usually not the case!

In families w their own cow, the mom usually boiled it before using.

We just forgot bc that's a boring chore that mom did. And who pays attention to that?

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

Ceramic dog jar made in 2017 after my dog passed away. Still very happy with this piece. :)

I just finished some glamor shots of this spring’s sculptures. These two little beasts are each about 4” long. Fired for 50 some hours in my train kiln!
They’re all packed up, ready to head to the Seattle Art Fair.

One of the most powerful things is looking at the cave art for early modern humans. They didn't do it for money, to become influencers.

In an era where survival was a challenge, it was something they needed to do. Art is a part of our humanity.

I was thinking about the impermanence of the internet in general. So, in a similar vein I started doing clay tablets of people's characters.
