This is insane.

“It won’t interfere with the current building. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of," Trump said in July. “It’s my favorite. It’s my favorite place. I love it.”

White House begins demolishing East Wing facade to build Trump’s ballroom
The president had claimed construction of the $250 million ballroom wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure.

We currently have a president who is so childishly crude and grotesque that newspapers consider it indecent to accurately describe the video he recently posted, and TV shows think it is indecent to show it.

But many Americans are OK that the Oval Office is home to the nation's crassest toddler.

Ailing president, in response to a policy question, answers that he wants only good things and not bad things, so good things are going to happen.

No follow up.
Q: A July survey by your pollster found that 72% of voters across parties like the ACA tax credits. Are you worried you might get blamed if you don't help?

Come on states, time to start fixing the problem with politics
This is the best political news I’ve seen in a very long time — so please pass it on👇

Each state can limit Citizens United in their own state & they don’t have to wait for other states to do it.

It was a good size crowd for the area, but I think too many people are sleep walking through life

Swearing in isn’t some ceremony. You aren’t a member of Congress until it happens. He knows that.

No phones, no staff, nothing.

I had to escort her into the Capitol on Wed bc Capitol police must treat her as a public visitor until she’s sworn in. And solo visitors aren’t allowed during shutdown!
Johnson: "Grijalva should be working for her constituents right now. I don't know what she's doing. I keep seeing their political stunt videos. She should be in her office. She should be working or in the district for her constituents" (Grijalva is not in fact a Rep. b/c Johnson refuses to seat her)

There was an incredible turnout across small-town USA! Many events weren’t even on our radar. Our coalition initially tracked around 3,000 events, but the number has now surged past 4,000 and counting.

So important to see the small red towns showing up!
Bloomfield Iowa (population 2600) voted 79% R in last election At least 32 participants. Many passers-by honked and waved. That's a triumph.

In Hastings, MN we have been having a weekly protest for the past six months or so. Our previous record turnout was just over 100 people, today we blew that number out of the water with 670 people attending.
