In Trump's America, pharmaceutical companies co-pay *you*.
Trump: "Drug prices went down for the year by 1/8 of 1 percent. Now I'm getting them down, Maria, 500, 600, 800 percent. In some cases even more than that. It's hard to believe."

I spoke to the Washington Post for this article. Nobody wants higher car insurance premiums, but let's not lose sight of what they are supposed to cover: the cost of compensating people, especially those outside of a vehicle, for harms caused by the driver.

Why car insurance keeps climbing, and where premiums are highest
Auto coverage has surged 50 percent in the past five years, but calculating a driver’s cost plays out very differently from one state to the next.

Traffic is also a flow problem, which is why circulation planning matters as much as reallocating space in section.

It is also why buses can be more "efficient" than bikes; in some cases, they need to get priority over bikes and pedestrians, contrary to what the various transport pyramid suggests.
It’s giving prison vibes. The large windows mean it’s a minimum security prison though.

“If Metro were to remove fare revenue from its balance sheet, that move would actually represent a disproportionate benefit to businesses who pay for monthly passes used by their employees.”
The idea of a fare-free pilot on several Metro routes came about as fares have shrunk as a percentage of Metro's overall sources of revenue. But data suggests dropping fares wouldn't be as big of a boon as continuing to focus on expanding transit service.

Theory of what the generic non-AI company is facing:
-sticky cost pressures in part due to tariffs
-revenue growth from middling (CPG) to solid (high-end consumer)
-extreme Wall Street pressure to maintain/expand profit margins
-possible need to invest in AI
-doesn’t leave room to hire more workers

Currently on a flight to Japan watching a Pentagon Assistant Press Secretary (Riley Podleski) work on a document in the open on her laptop. She spent the last hour copy and pasting headlines from articles critical of the Administration’s hostility toward the 1st amendment.
The Presidential thermostat.
Notably, at the turn of the *20th* century, battery-powered cars were seen as a “women’s” car. Real men drove cars that belched and smoked and required physical strength to crank start!
As EVs have become more mainstream and affordable, the gender gap has shrunk. A decade ago, men outnumbered women among EV buyers 3 to 1. Now, the ratio is 2 to 1.

The Democratic establishment will certainly give this scrappy progressive upstart a hard-fought battle. You know who else would do that? Every Republican for the rest of his career.

My personal opinion is that you shouldn't get credit for winning elections until you actually do.
"We have a rising new Dem star who really engages with people, and is sure to win their next election."

DEM LEADERSHIP: That's fantastic.

"What are the next steps?"

DEM LEADERSHIP: Simple. Force them to step aside and throw their support behind this 80-year-old lifetime politician.
Map red bad map green bad map should be yellow at rush hour for efficiency.
The answer for Democrats is to not apologize, not back down, and confidently own what you said.
Every time a Democrat gets caught on tape saying like “Some Trump voters are racist” we have a national scandal and JD Vance demands an entirely new kind of apology and meanwhile every Republican group chat is like “Good morning fellow SS members. Who’s ready to respect Hitler today?”

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.

That’s why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed — because Young Republicans weren’t radical enough.
EXCLUSIVE: Thousands of leaked messages show leaders of Young Republican groups joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape in a private Telegram chat.
