Annual reminder that people call native Americans "Indians" because a white guy left Europe on a boat, "discovered" a place people already lived, which he thought was the East Indies--thus "Indians".

Then he enslaved, raped and sold little girls.

This is a season ending event for at least 90% of the state.

The 2025 #IdahoFire season is over.

What a weird season it was... We got lucky... A lot.

But also, huge kudos to our Initial Attack crews who managed to hold all but a few fires.

There's a 100' city owned antenna tower near our house that looks crooked--drives me BAT SHIT CRAZY when I see it.

I *know* it is not leaning.

I've literally checked it multiple times, with levels, lasers and plum bobs.

It's perfectly vertical & well built.

I know cause I built the damn thing.

I've lived in both. My wife is from Iowa.

When I moved to Idaho as a kid, I had family members that couldn't figure out the difference after being told multiple times.

East Coast folks really struggle with geography and timezones...
