I've seen enough.

This is a season ending event for at least 90% of the state.

The 2025 #IdahoFire season is over.

What a weird season it was... We got lucky... A lot.

But also, huge kudos to our Initial Attack crews who managed to hold all but a few fires.

There's a 100' city owned antenna tower near our house that looks crooked--drives me BAT SHIT CRAZY when I see it.

I *know* it is not leaning.

I've literally checked it multiple times, with levels, lasers and plum bobs.

It's perfectly vertical & well built.

I know cause I built the damn thing.

I've lived in both. My wife is from Iowa.

When I moved to Idaho as a kid, I had family members that couldn't figure out the difference after being told multiple times.

East Coast folks really struggle with geography and timezones...

As a manager it's important to surround yourself with people who aren't afraid to let you know exactly what they think.

I know for a fact that if members of my department ever heard me say "teamwork makes the dream work" they'd hop on a plane, fly to Idaho and punch me in the face.

Yeah.... the Idaho Live feed can be quite the fire hose.... It doesn't rank posts, and it doesn't do near the filtering that The Idaho Feed does. But if you want to know what's being talked about right this second, go for it--its entirely chronological.
