The FAA has expanded the emergency AD to ground the DC-10 (and all variants) which the MD-11 was based.

By my read this would include the four-ish Very Large Air Tankers (VLAT) in operation that are based on the DC-10, like Tanker 910 in this photo. #IdahoFire

Was giving a training on Kubernetes today and someone said something that reminded me of that time six years ago when I was at kubecon San Diego sitting in a talk and my face suddenly popped up on the screen as part of the talk, lol. Managed to find it on YT.
A tweet from 6 years ago in which I point out to all the kubernetes fanboys that the vibe was the same as open stack before it became almost entirely irrelevant overnight.

Cleaning out a closet, found two of my old Forest Service IDs. Left was circa 98-99 I think? Probably sophomore year of high school.
Right was working for the Washington DC HQ Office, "WO", probably 2003? Hell idk, I've slept since then.

Both are my pre-2009 signature.

What's especially funny is, if you do a reverse image search for the top header image for Mountain Home. Google says it's an aerial view of Boise. Which, obviously it is... Why the hell it's the top result for Mountain home... wtf idk.

Was just talking to someone from out of state and they mentioned the mountain home story... They also mentioned how "pretty" Mountain home is.

um....

I had to ask them how they came to that conclusion.

sigh....

It's a shame both of my Internet providers and my cell phone provider are having network issues today. Probably due to the hurricane hitting the Northern Rockies...

It's a good thing my new @prusa3d.com core one just got delivered, otherwise I wouldn't have anything to do today....
