Just got my annual Covid and flu vaccines.

The USPS has issued commemorative stamps honoring vaccine scientists, most recently two in 2006: For Jonas Salk, who created the first polio vaccine in 1955, and Albert Sabin, who developed an oral polio vaccine in the late 1950s. #philately #science

#OTD in 1938 was the first flight of the P-40 fighter. It was one of the mainstays of the Empire air forces in the Middle East, serving from 1941-1943 in North Africa. Even though never quite up to the job against the Bf109, it was good enough to present a challenge and that was enough.
