May 29, 1945 #WWII "Bride" Ship Will Take 400 To America. A number will take young children.

Mom gets news that a ship is arriving to reunited her with Dad who returned to the US in June 1944. They were married in Sydney Oct 27, 1942. She has since given birth to a daughter Dad has never met.

The Snake River jump on Wide World of Sports was so disappointing. We thought he was dead for a hot minute.

Cool! I wanted the doll and motorcycle so bad but our Mom wouldn't allow it. I remember the build up to his Snake River jump. We were talking about it for months! He didn't look tall on TV. Maybe all those broken bones.

I have a couple friends working claims. One on a river bank, another is digging. Of course they're both tight-lipped about finding anything, but they still working they're day jobs, so I assume nothing.

Lake Tahoe Basin was formed by vertical motion faulting. Uplifted blocks created the Carson Range on the east and the Sierra Nevada crest on the west. Down-dropping and block tilting created 1,645 feet deep Lake Tahoe in between.

Three faults parallel the California Nevada line are still active.
