Let's make, "I totally voted against Trump," the new, "I was at Woodstock, fur shur."
A *massive* night for Dems, and a sign of far far worse to come for fascists. NOW LET'S GO. And I mean, not just to defeat Trumpist fascism, but to utterly crush it and make a new country where people are ashamed to admit that they ever cast a vote for Donald Trump or anyone who supported him.

evergreen post
Seems like a good time for the Speaker of the House to swear in Rep. Grijalva.

Republicans thought they had a permanent hold over young men. They didn't.

Spanberger wins men 18-29 by 14%, Sherrill by 10%, and Mamdani by a stunning 40%.

Looking forward to learning all about how the right should move left to win elections tomorrow. They should maybe dye their hair pink, learn to love pronouns.
I very much hope this is wrong.
Watch out the Trump regime may invade Venezuela or attack Nigeria or Iran tonight just to cover up the massive losses MAGA took, democrats swept the elections nationwide.

AOC: I think what this night is starting and shaping up to represent is that Americans everywhere are not going to be scared. We will not be intimidated by an administration that is violating the rights and making life hard and unaffordable for every single American in this country.

The only bad news so far tonight? It’s not 2026.

Crowd celebrating the Zohran Mamdani victory (📹 @C_Sommerfeldt)
Gosh I guess this means Martha's Vineyard won't have ol' Alan Dershowitz to kick around anymore.
A 34-year state democratic socialist assemblyman from Queens, Mamdani became the city’s first ever Muslim mayor—and the first immigrant mayor in half a century.
Zohran Mamdani drags the Democratic Party into the future
This was a local race with national implications, whether the party's leaders liked it or not.

Republicans who think your seat is safe: no it's not
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

Democrats have flipped two Georgia Public Service Commission seats from red to blue in the first win for GA Democrats at the nonfederal statewide level since 2006.

The Georgia Public Service Commission plays an instrumental role in determining energy policy for the state.

THAT part! 👇🏽
Virginia Republicans leaned hard into anti-trans propaganda as part of their main messaging in the final months of this campaign.

It fell completely flat with voters. It did not resonate. Virginia Republicans came across as bizarre and detached from working class families.

this is a fun one because actually like how unpopular of a sitting VP do you have to be to offer absolutely zero boost to a relative's election chances
JD Vance's half-brother has lost by an overwhelming margin as he tried to become the mayor of Cincinnati.

Democratic incumbent Aftab Pureval wins reelection.

Is a 62 point lead a lot? because I’m concerned that massive wins of this sort will cause Democrats to learn the wrong lesson that standing up for principles and people and getting votes is more politically successful than spending 50 years trying to make a family of imaginary bigots like you.
just in: Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner is on track to win easily.

With roughly a quarter of the vote reporting, he leads Pat Dugan 81% to 19%.

Krasner already beat Dugan in the Dem primary... and Dugan kept running as the GOP nominee. (My write-up: boltsmag.org/2025-prosecu...)

Trump wants hard-working families and their kids to starve just so he can fork yet more of our tax money to his billionaire donors.

Judges need to start handing out real consequences for his illegal actions, or he's just going to keep doing this. Read more here: www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

Dems love to fold when they have a winning hand. I know the establishment DC huddle Dems have failed us many times already this year. They're doing ONE thing right and listening to progressives, the play is working, and they're thinking of conceding? Absofuckinglutely not. Grow a spine. Save lives.
Yes, but what you fail to consider is, they're the children of lazy and bad people. 🙄
