Most of the ones I know are staying home because there is no real opposition.

You either vote for Dr. Evil or a guy who won't stop Dr. Evil.

Aside from a few standouts there's nobody saying "Fuck Dr. Evil" with their whole chest. There's nobody to actually rally behind.

I'll add that one to Chocolate Doom as things to look into.

I saw that there's some bits about how to compile ZDoom at the bottom of the existing pages but if that's the current answer then there may as well be no answer currently.

Here's hoping they put together a release soon.

Looking for Doom resources in a post- GZDoom world.

Anyone know the specifics on the new frontrunner sourceport? I've heard UZDoom and DZDoom as named new forks but not a lot about where to actually get them.

UZDoom has a github with no releases. DZDoom a mediafire link on the doom wiki.

The guy responsible for forcing horrible smeary texture filtering on by default in GZDoom has finally crossed a line that the community cannot stand. An unfortunate schism, but hopefully this means things improve faster from here!

The short version: the Gzdoom team has finally had enough of Graf Zhal's shit (including but not limited to pushing AI code into Gzdoom).

The entire team has packed up and made a new fork of Gzdoom.
