So, the King of Brown Envelopes is backing Heather Humphreys. If that doesn't sound the death knell for her campaign then nothing else will. #Aras2025

Heather Humphreys called herself brave today for withdrawing the Green Paper on disability and claims she did so after consulting with disability groups

not only did Humphreys never meet with members of the Scrap the Green Paper coalition, she didn't even reply to correspondence

you just summarized the whole history of Europe in a sentence
Motherfuckers giving themselves scurvy because fruits and vegetables are woke and then blaming it on people casting spells on them.

I am no longer able to donate blood. I would really love it if someone here who hasn't donated before could take up the mantle. It's not hard.

Reserves for every blood type are critically low, with only B+ being close to the bare minimum.

You can literally save a person's life by donating as soon as you can.

A graph showing each blood type and the amount left, the bars on the graph are styled as test tubes, each with a small amount of red liquid in them.
Long since needed in Ireland. They are an unnecessary nuisance and danger.
Nothing to see here, apparently.

It's worth remembering that if it wasn't for People Before Profit, Sinn Féin and like-minded independents, you would all now have exorbitant water bills to go with your exorbitant energy bills, rent, fuel, childcare and food bills.

Lol maybe Heather Humphries wouldn't be having such a nightmare election campaign if she hired Paul Murphy as her campaign manager instead of being so weird about him

Jim Gavin had a good CV and wasn't Bertie, you can see in theory what Michael Martin thought he was doing. But Heather Humphries is a mid-ranking politician of no special profile or popularity. They put her first name on the posters like she was a household name, inviting the question "Heather who?"

"Do you want radical socialists to run the presidency?"

Aside from threatening us with a good time - calling post-Tralee Labour and the Sticky centre "radical socialists" should have been a sign that these were Deeply Unserious People.

Is the Left Right for the Park? Do you want radical socialists to run the Presidency?

In the race for Ireland’s next president, Catherine Connolly holds a decisive lead in the latest Irish Times poll:

Connolly: 38%
Humphreys: 20%

One week to go till election day!

Looks very much like Connolly will be heading to the Áras an Uachtaráin.

Imagine focusing all your efforts on becoming the media's go-to mean-spirited smarmy crank, then cribbing when you get called out for it.

Bookie, politician, political strategist, pundit. Is there anything Ivan Yates *can* do?
Ivan Yates has hit back at criticism over the "smear the bejaysus" remarks he made about Catherine Connolly in relation to the presidential election.

He said to suggest that he is involved in Heather Humphreys' campaign "is just nonsensical". jrnl.ie/6845710

This will be the first presidential election I can vote in since becoming an Irish citizen.

Is Catherine Connolly perfect? Nope.

But if Ruth Dudley-Edwards, Ivan Yates, and Bertie Ahern all are against her, it makes me all the more certain of my vote.
