This weekend, three men in Evanston hugged their families goodbye to look for work at Home Depot but were attacked by ICE before they could return home.

Two were abducted, one is petrified of leaving the home.

Something I think about a lot: One of the reasons people used to think boys “outgrew” ADHD is because in adulthood men tend to offload their executive function (managing calendars, remembering birthdays, cleaning, grocery shopping) to wives and secretaries so it masked their symptoms.

ICE is randomly targeting peaceful protesters because the point is to terrorize the public into accepting martial law.

Indiscriminate attacks send the message that there’s nothing you can do to stay safe.

The regime wants you to cower at home and cede the streets of your city to their control.

Had a nice Lyft driver. I traded a couple of “I’m a clumsy idiot” stories for a couple of his “my coworker was a weasel” stories and tbh it felt like the ride could’ve lasted another 10-15 minutes before I got annoyed and impatient. I’m so glad he left that job!

I went to college (Columbia College Chicago) in the fall of 92 & they didn’t have their own dorms yet. So we shared a dorm with Roosevelt. Anyway, like half of my floor were extras in this movie.
