One pretty insidious aspect of transmisogyny is the lack of understanding that trans girls in early transition are under the mental strain of having grown up in a transmisogynist world and having to come to terms with BEING those trans women they've heard all that shit about.

My comments on a Talk TV phone-in earlier today were phrased poorly and I unreservedly apologise for any offence caused, which was not my intention.

The point I was making is that many British TV adverts have gone DEI mad and are now unrepresentative of British society as a whole. This is not an attack on any group but an observation about balance and fairness in how our country is portrayed on screen.

A study commissioned by Channel 4 as part of its Mirror on the Industry project, found that Black people were featured in more than half of adverts in 2022, up sharply from 37 per cent in 2020 following the Black Lives Matter movement. By contrast, Black people make up around 4 per cent of the population in England and Wales, according to the 2021 Census.

Representation in advertising should reflect the diversity of modern Britain, but it should also be proportionate and inclusive of everyone. My comments were made in that context, and I stand by the principle that equality should mean fairness for all.

My favourite part of the case was when they asked to be accommodated, got accommodated with a new space, and then were like "No we wanted you to humiliate the tranny, actually"

It really shows how they view third spaces as degrading but want that for us and not them

If it is correct that Bridget Phillipson is sitting on the new, post Supreme Court ruling EHRC guidance on trans rights (and I think it v. plausible) so as not to lose deputy leadership votes of pro-LGBT+ MPs, then not only is that sickeningly cynical, but guidance must be off-the-scale extreme.

Trump is forcing the NHS to pay 25% more for drugs because BigPharma is ripping off Americans making them pay 4x as much as us, so even though they're making profit off us, we have to pay more as that will *checks notes* cause the US prices to drop?

What about Big Pharma makes less profit instead?!
