My beloved always says he's a riff bloke and not lyrics but put in a solid 2 hours singing along to 40 Hits of 1975 at the BBC a few days ago. In denial, obvs, but I love that we all have a soundtrack on recall.

I've bought some reissues, and obscure compilations, and not even played them yet because I can just hear them but needed a prod of reading the titles. It's been bugging me today, given the news, that The Grid's Swamp Thing was one of the first things I DJed off CD but can't remember which club!

I rode my bike by some kids and I was wearing *an outfit* and they started singing circus music (fair) and so I just looked straight at them and said “6-7” and they screamed. I hope an old person saying it ruined it for them. Happy spooky season.

Why is Starmer always on the wrong side every single time?
I mean, he's a lawyer, and he claims to be a football fan, but seems oblivious to some fans of certain teams routinely being banned from attending matches, and even some matches being played behind closed doors. It's basic stuff!

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.
