I'm really glad I'm not as tuned in to the Pokémon game development news cycle.

The teraleak's really enabled a lot of nasty behavior from folks who've adopted "Game Freak hater" as a personality, and leaks like this are pretty egregious with their slant towards the lazy developers" angle.

Rt, your Switch 2 Welcome Tour streamed sucked, simply because you played with the most sour and miserable mood ever.
You only played the minigames once, never did their sequels, and at the slightest road bump, went "no I'm not doing that" remember your FACECAM? Why not use it for the HDR demo?

Also, seeing those dual-screen handhelds definitely sparked interest for me to consider getting one later down the line, and migrating my DS library I have on my Steam Deck/PC to it.

I also thought about getting a TP pilot episode down by the DS' 21st anniversary next month, but work on that should've started already if I had that goal, so it's likely gonna be 2026 territory.

At most, maybe an Episode 0.5 or something just to say "hey, it's not dead!" is more feasible. [🧵3/5]

Obviously, nothing can be perfect out the gate + it's better to do the thing & make it good later but at the same time, I know it's something I'd like to honestly take time with.

I'm already making moves to change the direction of SYLVER.STREAM in 2026 to work in tandem with THIRD PILLAR. [🧵2/5]

Nefarious was honestly one that I rooted for because I liked the premise of being the villain.

I don't know if I can blame it on the Switch port specifically, but it ran more and more like dogwater as I played. The gameplay was losing steam, and the finale was a complete 10-15FPS stuttery mess.

DMC2 is already known for being pretty bad, and I definitely got to understand why. Getting to play DMC3 right after it made me appreciate it so much more.

Pokémon X was my runner-up because I think that's where I kinda had it with Pokémon in regards to its story and structure. Kalos was boring.

Hmm... I'm not gonna be all uppity and say "I only play good games!" because I've definitely rolled credits on some absolute duds or games that had promise but completely fell apart by the end.

For the former, I nominate Devil May Cry 2.
The latter definitely goes to Nefarious.
