If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

Elites do not care about “democracy” except inasmuch as they support any system of social organization in which they personally are elites. Now that they’ve figured out they can maintain their elevated status without democracy, they will all shrug and go about their frictionless lives.

Graham Platner reminds us that the consistent stumbling block for the progressive cause is not the centrist or liberal, but a lack of respect for marginalized communities to whom they feel no allegiance, yet demand their obsequi. And when those communities don't fall in line they're called stupid...
Thank you 🤣🤷‍♀️
I love that we live in a country that is winning so f’in hard right now that the prez can just focus all of his attention on building a blinged out ballroom cuz he’s solved everything else!
Leavitt: At this moment in time, the ballroom is really the president's main priority.
I did, but not as much as the first one. I found the story in BP2 very interesting. I recommend it for sure.
It was great - also surprisingly sweet. Wasn’t expecting that.
It was so fun. I think it has been on my watchlist for at least 10 years 🤣

That’s the kind of kneejerk dismissive advice that makes me violent. Telling people to just grow their own food is tantamount to telling them to eat cake.
On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

41 million people (including 20 million kids) will lose access to food in a few days while a new 90,000 square foot ballroom is being added to the White House.

This political moment is profoundly disgusting.

I don’t understand why anyone’s debating this — a Nazi tattoo is a non starter, full stop.

This is a race for a U.S. Senate seat. The bar for candidates to clear doesn’t have to be insanely high, but it should at least be off the ground

A fun byproduct of unitary executive theory—if the president controls everyone under him, he can demand they transfer hundreds of millions in tax dollars into his bank account
Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X

The My So-Called Life cast was chock full of tremendously talented actors, several of whom continue to work steadily 30 years later (and one is a countess???), but the one Hollywood truly latched onto was the hot guy who could only sort of act. Which has never happened before, of course!!
I will never understand how Jared Leto has remained a working movie star for 30 years despite never starring in a good or successful film
‘TRON: ARES’ is set to have a loss of $132.7M.

The entire brilliance of the character of Jordan Catalano is that he is exactly the kind of guy who is absolutely fascinating and transfixing when you're 15 or 16, and who you later realize has almost literally no appealing qualities. It's kind of bizarre how much it tracks.
IDK if you’ve seen it yet, but the new Naked Gun is hilarious. However, I agree, we need more silly films that exist simply to make us laugh!

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

this rocks. when indiana edu killed the student newspaper, Purdue stepped up, printed the forbidden issue, drove it to Bloomington and stocked the boxes.
