after a lot of unnecessary faffing and superfluous verbiage - which, to be fair, is very him - I think Pete really hits on something salient with "why are you even writing poetry". and then he finally hits the essential core of the thought with "idiot"

Speaking from experience, small indie publishing is getting tougher. We usually rely on project-based public funding (too much) and are a couple of rejections away from closure. Investors balk at us because of the low margins & growth. We need a new path.

It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.
