“In some cases, the tool includes duplicative addresses, with the same provider appearing to be simultaneously in-network and out-of-network. In other cases, the tool initially informs users that a provider is covered by a plan but lists that provider as out-of-network on other pages.”

New: Trump officials unveiled a tool intended to help millions of Medicare patients pick their plans, as open enrollment begins today.

But the tool — a directory that was intended to match providers with their plans — was rife with errors, The Post found.

Medicare doctor directory, a Trump team priority, launches with errors
The directory, intended to help older Americans navigate Medicare Advantage open enrollment, produces conflicting responses about which providers are covered by health plans.

The headline & text of this piece don’t do enough to describe the Trump regime’s extreme immigration agenda.

It’s called white nationalism. Or white Christian nationalism. Or Christian nationalism. Pick one. Only one quote in the piece starts to describe it.

very funny that JD Vance has so little to do with his time that he goes on podcasts to defend 30-year-old men for saying how much they love Hitler

JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

There are so many obvious constitutional violations in this story. It is enraging.
There is no war, there is no foreign invasion, there is nothing that justify it. This is a choice to create a military presence that will brutalize residents of cities that do not support the President.

Big news of the day included the announcement of a new hearing for the restraining order meant to rein in federal agents’ violent behavior.

Despite the order, agents have deployed tear gas in two separate Chicago communities in the week since the judge handed it down.

Trump found another $20 BILLION to give to Argentina, totaling their bailout to $40 BILLION.

Yet we can’t afford to prevent millions of Americans from losing their healthcare.

Shame.

The Supreme Court’s majority right wing indicated in oral arguments that they think racism is over on the same day that the vice president defended the “I love Hitler” guy, and that the NYT reported that the current administration plans to accept only white, English-speaking refugees.

Aside from losing many Democratic seats, Black representation in Congress will probably drop from around 14% of seats (nationally representative) to maybe 7 or 8% (not representative)?

Extraordinary NYT story:

Trump’s DOJ pressured out another US Attorney in WESTERN Virginia for finding that a grand jury probe his bosses demanded was unwarranted.

They wanted a case discrediting the Russia probe — evidence be damned. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/14/u...

Every time a Democrat gets caught on tape saying like “Some Trump voters are racist” we have a national scandal and JD Vance demands an entirely new kind of apology and meanwhile every Republican group chat is like “Good morning fellow SS members. Who’s ready to respect Hitler today?”

Remember, according to the Republican Justices, it's okay to gerrymander for party advantage, not racial advantage. It's an unknowable distinction, but one that allows the Republicans to okay racist gerrymandering under the guise of political gerrymandering.

We shouldn't kid ourselves into thinking that we will frown our way out of fascism. But we shouldn't think we should appease our way out either (on that point, Eric and I agree). But how will we "invent new forms of shared meaning" or enforce "reciprocal responsibility to care for one another"?
screenshot of Eric Reinhart's article, the bit that says: "Neither a return to paternal authority nor a stubborn defense of liberal civility can save us. Both are ethically compromised and historically obsolete. The task ahead is not to resurrect old affective and political tools but to invent new forms of shared meaning, reciprocal responsibility to care for one another, and collective commitments to protecting a universal right to individual difference—and freedom from economic and material oppression—powerful enough to inspire and sustain democratic life under contemporary conditions. This means building institutions capable of mediating difference without suppressing it, of sustaining a shared sense of reality without reimposing homogenizing violences of the past."

Reprehensible treatment of public servants. History will (hopefully) remember how many innocent, hardworking good people had their lives ruined by their own government and that elected republicans stood by and not only allowed it to happen, but cheered it on.

I just checked and this is real. It's on Border Patrol's official Instagram (I don't see it on Facebook) and is being celebrated by Nazis on Twitter, as you can see in the screenshot.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.
Twitter account: Uncensored @HmanQuotes1945: Official border patrol Facebook page is posting with the banned lyrics of Michael Jackson's song.
