The US government is deliberately screwing with our food supply through tariffs, making jobs less available when they've already been insufficient to pay for a decent quality of life, and now they're cutting all the safety nets they can.

Drug testing people for food assistance is just telling people who have addiction (which is a disease) that they should fuck off and starve to death.

I don't believe in starving people because of health conditions.

I've heard people say that their local grocery, the only one in their reach, depends so much on food stamps that without it, they may go out of business.

Think about that. The ONLY store in a small town or rural area, closing because the government wants to decide who gets to eat.

“SNAP is a subsidy to low wage employers” isn’t a compelling argument once you get past the surface, but SNAP payments are definitely an important part of the revenue of grocery retailers and without that we should assume that their already escalating prices are likely to escalate more.

Glaube sehr viele Menschen die es fordern wissen nicht was es in der Praxis bedeutet "eine Angebotene Arbeit (vom Jobcenter) nicht anzunehmen". Man will Menschen zwingen schlecht bezahlte Jobs mit unzumutbar langer Pendelzeit zu machen, die niemand der es fordert je machen würde.

Eine Notlösung, aber dennoch mehr als ärgerlich, wage ich zu behaupten. Wenn es wenigstens ausreichte, dem Arbeitsmarkt neben dem Studium faktisch zur Verfügung zu stehen/erwerbszuarbeiten - stattdessen wird man gezwungen, max. 50% des Vollzeitpensums im Semester
