Rest in Piss Dick Cheney. You getting a peaceful death doesn't seem fair for the amount of pain and suffering you have brought in your lifetime.

Classic X, opening a link where you can nazi it
Reposted by GEM is truly truly outrageous
Looks like X is juicing web visit numbers by opening a browser WebView in the background whether the user visits the link or not.

They've re-invented pop-under fraud (allegedly).

seriously how do you get to a lead role in the games industry without understanding concepts such as "greyboxing" or "bugs not yet fixed in this version". like what is the career path, for these people?

Folks, I have a new video today where I'm very excited to announce a new dishwasher powder on the market.

Why am I so excited? Because it's vindicated every single one of my detergent opinions.

I was right about dishwasher pods, and now I can prove it

apparently ko-fi marks things as business instead of friends/family and they're holding a big chunk of money (and taking fees). i may be able to use this as collateral to borrow for rent but if you sent me some, you might be able to help out here by going to paypal and confirming the transaction.
turned off opengl in dosbox, which seems to have solved the hangs, try it again now

Laser-powered phosphor display screen panels are starting to pop up on places like eBay and Amazon... If I was more of a tinkerer I'd love to try and get one of these working as a consumer display

It's basically a CRT that uses a UV laser to light the phosphors instead of a cathode ray tube. If you were going to make new CRT style screens in the modern day, this is the closest you could get

The Lumo demo WIP went down well at Amiga Belfast today despite being bugged to flip. Might have sold a couple of 2umo as well :)

Also got talking with ex-Codies artist Johnathan Temples, who literally lives round the corner from me now!

Just learned about this #retrocomputing book Kickstarter that still needs some backers to meet its goal. It's the story of a small computer company that designed ahead-of-its-time products and then disappeared just as the personal computer revolution was getting started.
Go Computer Now! – The Story of Sphere Computers
A book telling the extraordinary story of Sphere, a 1970s Utah personal computer maker far ahead of its time—until its sudden collapse.

getting to my following feed cold is over 20mb in 231 requests, with the cdn only letting you get ~8 items at once

on mobile data, that's often 20-30 seconds

I don't have a dial in line right now but my Citadel-based BBS (originally online from ~1998 to ~2003) is back online although it rarely sees any activity anymore... even I forget to log in for months at a time. And it's here in the Twin Cities!
