This is basically what happened to lolisho content at the start, in the sense that PayPal, MasterCard, et al innovated this death-by-debanking policy by first figuring out how to do it via lolisho. Which a lot of us (self included) did not want to defend. But I think that was a strategic error

The anonymous game developer who is out £80,000 says it well, referring to PayPal's ability to withhold their funds:
"We don't make anything illegal, but when almost every bank is collectively saying 'we don't do business with you if you make content X or Y,' then the content almost becomes functionally illegal."

Itchio is currently experiencing a DDOS attack. The attack started last night, was mitigated for several hours, but the site is down again as of this post

i heard someone point out that in fact, we did punish thousands of people by execution after the civil war, but it was done by vigilantes and against the "winners" for the temerity of having won their freedom. hard to argue that one honestly

My takeaway was that the Civil War never actually ended bc the people responsible were never punished and we've been having a civil cold war for the last 150 years thats just boiling over now.

Just got a call from a lovely but very nervous Dr, who advised I wouldn't be routinely screened for breast cancer because I'm not indicated as being "biologically female" on the central NHS database and my biology wouldn't indicate I'm at risk.

My records have been altered, which is upsetting.

in some of the reports released they show graphs of the sensor data, and on one dive there was a loud crack that even people inside heard, which was a huge spike on the graph and the readings were noticeably different afterwards compeared to earlier dives
