Alaska is literally under water and we don’t have NOAA or FEMA funded and the national guard just getting their 10k steps in around in random cities. BUT thank god we have a $200M ballroom in a building none of us will ever see 😀

Typhoons are not something to mess around in. It seems little to no warning got out to the folks on the west coast. I did not hear anything except news about Trump attacking NOAA and FEMA again.

I LIKE when my husband has access to materials for his work and doesn't need to charge his customers more to cover higher costs, and they like that, too.

The subtext of this story is because we aren't launching as many weather balloons and as a result of the deep cuts to NOAA, weather forecast models didn't see that Typhoon Halong was going to take a different track than predicted:
